I have been closing my UPower^® Concerts with my personal tagline my voice your choice. So when I started writing my weekly column in Sept 2009 I knew the title of the column had to be my voice your choice!

It wasn't so long ago that I was a teenager. During those years some very challenging times were thrown my way – my parents' divorce, body image issues and the deaths of loved ones – to name a few. I learned to push through these trying times by using Life Tools I had learned from the many motivational courses my mum had enrolled me in.

I receive a lot emails from young people asking me questions and sharing issues that they or their friends are facing. Within my answers I share my personal stories, struggles and triumphs. I share poor choices and great choices that I have made along this journey of life. In all honesty, sometimes it's hard to share so openly. I share things that I never thought I would share with anyone. But, by sharing with each other, I believe that we can find commonalities, new perspectives and ways to grow.

I am committed to answering your questions authentically and honestly. I am committed to providing Life Tools in my answers to you. Life Tools that you can choose to take on and apply to your life in your Own Unique way! Life Tools that I still use in my life everyday.

In my column you will hear my voice but in the end- this is your life, so it's your choice whether to take my advice. After all it's up to you how you choose to live and whom you choose to become.
